On what side of the church does the brides family sit?
In most formal weddings the bride's family & friends are seated on the left side of the aisle and the groom's family & friends are on the right.
Our church has more than one center aisle how do I go about seating etc.?
If the church as two center aisles you should pick on aisle and run the whole wedding as if it were the only aisle available.
Who do I send wedding announcements to and when do I mail them?
Wedding announcements are only sent to those people who were not invited
to the ceremony or reception. They should be mailed immediately after the ceremony.
When should I order my invitations?
Wedding invitations should be ordered when all the details of the ceremony and reception have been confirmed. You will also need to have an accurate guest list count to place your order. It's a good idea to order them 3 to 6 months prior to your wedding date if possible. This allows for some stress free time to address them.

Should I order more than what I need?
You should order correct quantity plus 25 extra in case you forgot someone.
(It is very costly to reorder 25 later)

What is a French Fold Invitation?
It's a sheet of paper folded twice to create a four-panel invitation.
This fold is most common with parchment invitations.
What is Thermography?
It is a printing process that gives the appearance of engraving but is much
less expensive than an engraved invitation.

Do I seal the inner envelope?
No. These envelopes should not have glue on them nor should you use an envelope seal to close them.

What is a within-the-ribbon card?
They are used for large formal weddings. A small card is printed and may be sent with the phrase within the ribbons. The pew # is usually listed in the left corner. The ushers should seat these guests in the reserved section.

How many ushers do we need?
Depending on the size of your wedding there normally should be one usher for every 50 guests. An average formal wedding is four to six bridesmaids and ushers.

When do I need to send the Thank You cards out?
Your written thank you note should be sent as soon as possible after receiving the gift. It is considered socially correct to send a written thank you note even if you have thanked someone in person.

What are "Save-the-Date" cards?
"Save-the-date cards" This card is usually sent three to four months before the wedding. It typically includes information about the wedding and any special accommodations that you have made for your out-of-town guests. It's especially useful when your event is planned around a holiday or busy time of year.

When is it held?
It is usually held the night before the wedding. Participants usually go directly from the church or ceremony site to the dinner. However, you can schedule the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner two to three days before the wedding. This is a particularly good idea if your ceremony is early in the morning. This will allow for all to be well rested.

Purchase your wedding planner and memory album. Talking about the wedding budget and style and colors. Everything from the cake to the flowers and dresses. Select attendants. Decide on wedding and reception sites
Book caterer, photographer, videographer, florist and DJ or musicians etc.

Food is presented and then carved, boned, flambéed or otherwise finished by tableside waiters.

What documents do we need for a marriage license usually?
Birth certificate, proof of citizenship, identification, blood test if required, parental consent if underage. If you have been married before you will need a divorce decree. If your a window a death certificate.

Should I buy the undergarments before my first fitting?
Yes and be sure to have someone on hand with a critical eye. The prettiest of gowns may not look their best without the proper undergarments.
